U14 Ladies reach County Final

U14 Ladies reach County Final

November 12, 2015

Ballincollig Under 14 Ladies have secured a place in the County Final after a superb performance v Bantry last Wednesday night. In a very exciting game of football, each girl played to their full potential against a very tough Bantry side. Our backs worked tirelessly, and with some superb saves from our goalie, the Ballincollig girls managed to thwart their many goal attempts. On the other side of the pitch, our scores were adding steadily with a full-time score of 4-6 to 1-8. The girls certainly did themselves, their club and their Village proud.

Under 14 Panel: Erin Taylor (c), Aishling Keane, Sarah Murphy, Molly O Flynn, Ciara Healy, Amy Murphy, Julie Creedon, Ava Lordan, Grace Oldham, Ciara Lee, Ruby LeFeuvre, Kara Lacey, Orla NicCárthaigh, Anna Cremin Butler, Kate Walsh, Allie Cleary, Katie Downey, Lauren Buckley, Aoife Feehan, Sorcha NicCarthaigh, Allanah O Sullivan.

The eagerly awaited County Final will see the Ballincollig girls play St. Michaels on Sunday, 22nd November at 2.30pm. Venue to be confirmed. Details will be posted on the Ballincollig GAA website and Facebook accounts. Make sure you keep that date free to cheer on the girls in what promises to be a great display of Football.

Many thanks to Juliette Murphy, who came to the girls training session prior to their Semi Final and gave them great encouragement and a few wise words. This Panel and our Under 16 Panel will begin Fitness Training in Juliette Murphy’s Fitness Studio on Wednesday afternoons from 5-6pm.

As it was too late to Celebrate their success on Wednesday night (most people notgetting home until 10.30pm), the girls got together for a small celebration after training last Monday night. The girls will play a Challenge match at home next Sunday night v Passage in preparation for the final. Throw in 6pm.
