U-13 Footballers play Inniscarra
February 16, 2015
Inniscarra 5-11 Ballincollig 3-4
At Ballyanly on Sunday 8th Feb, our U-13 Footballers had their second outing of the season. This was a Rebel Og Central 3 League game versus Inniscara.
We started poorly and allowed Inniscarra to take the initiative. They ran in a number of scores before Ballincollig lads got involved and similar to our last game, when changes were made, we took the match to Inniscarra.
At one stage it was 4-10 to 0-0 but once Davin and Paraic were introduced and with some positional changes the game became much more competitive and in fact on the score-board in the second half the lads won this half. Patrick Kavanagh at full-back played very well while Michael Gilmore gave a very good account of himself at corner-back. Chris Walsh going into goals was a notable difference. Some other players to play well were Darragh Moriarty and Jacob OâBrien at corner forward.
Another positive from the day, was this first time in a while for Ballincollig GAA to field 2 different Teams on the Age. Well Done Lads!!!
Team was Ayo, Chris Moran, Patrick Kavanagh, Michael Gilmore, Cathal Lyons, Adam OâKeeffe, Darragh Moriarty, Stephen McCarthy, Daire Brennan, Cathal McDermott, Chris Walsh, Robbie Walsh, Jacob OâBrien, David OâSullivan, Dylan Ring.
Subs:- Davin Moloney-OâKeeffe, Patrick Kelly, Paraic OâKeeffe and Aaron Cooney.
