Ballincollig Lead the way in Underage developement

Rebel Og recently held their workshop for club coaching officers. It was attended by over 100 clubs throughout Cork. Ballincollig GAA club were asked to give a presentation to the workshop because we were the Lee flag gold category winners in 2013 and are viewed as a leader in underage development in Cork over the last few years.
The presentation was given by Conor Cronin and Garret Harrington. Some of the topics covered by Conor and Garret included the history of Youth Development, Objectives, Structures, Role Of Youth Development Chairman, Schools Coach/Links, child Protection Officer, P.R.O, Recruiting Coaches, Coaching the coaches.
The Feedback on the day from other clubs was very positive and there was lots of questions as to how Ballincollig are running such a good Youth Development Section. Conor and Garret have reassured me they did not give away all our secrets!!
Youth Development Training – continues until 30th November
The Youth development Section of the Club, which caters for the U-6 to U-10 age groups, takes place on Sunday mornings at 10.30am (10.45am for U6s). All welcome - please contact the coaches below for further details and enquiries;
