Ballincollig Ladies Gaelic Football News
With our U14 ladies crowned County Champions in June, Ballincollig ladies football headed into the Sumer weeks very content. In July came the news that our great club were awarded Tesco Club of the Month, acknowledging the achievements and growth of the club in the past two years.
Training sessions were light and relaxed over the summer months and we have only recently gone back to a full training schedule.
Training continues as follows:
Under 8s
Girls born 2006 and 2007 Mondays 5.30-6.30
Under 10s
Girls born 2004 and 2005 Mondays 5.30-6.30
Under 12s
Girls born 2003 and 2002 Mondays 6.30-7.30
Under 14s
Girls born 2001 and 2000 Mondays 6.30-7.30, Thursdays 7-8
Under 16s
Girls born 1999 and 1998 Mondays 6.30-7.30, Thursdays 7-8
Ladies football in Ballincollig is a vibrant club with well over a hundred girls making learning new skills, making new friends and having great fun on Monday evenings. With âSciath na Scoile Peilâ fever in the air, new girls are joining every week and new members are always welcome, so why not come down next Monday evenings and try it out â guaranteed youâll be counting down the days to the next training session.
Starting a new sport can be daunting when you reach your teenage years, but Ladies Gaelic Football is a fun-filled hour of exercise, where you will make new friends while at the same time improve your fitness levels. Why not bring a friend and join us on a Monday night training session. New members are always welcome. If you have any queries contact Aileen at 087-6912434.
Our Under 10s have started their series of matches, with a great win over St. Vals last Friday night. The next two matches sees them playing Bishopstown and Ballinora in the coming weeks
We look forward to the end of September when the Cork Senior Ladies meet Dublin in the All Ireland in Croke Park. A group of supporters will travel from the club by bus on the morning. Rebels abú!
