Ballincollig 1-7
Aghinagh 4-14

After a competitive start in which Ballincollig put a lot of pressure on the Aghinagh defence, it was disappointing to be 7 points to 3 down after 15 min. However, a great move involving Matt O Sullivan, Killian Buckley, Luke Carey Murphy was finished to the net by Padraig Harrington leaving 1 point between the sides. After having a couple of chances to level the scores, we were unluckly to concede a soft goal, giving Aghinagh a cushion once more that they were able to build on with another 1-1 in the 5 min before half time. Down 2-8 to 1-3 at half time, Ballincollig rallied after half time to create a couple of goal chances that they were unfortunately unable to take. This enabled Aghinagh to pick off points on the break and in the last 10 min the superior fitness (this is Aghinagh's second team, with their first being in the Mid Cork Junior Final) told as their subs were able to contribute 2 late goals.

A disappointing loss but no credit lost with performances from players like Matt O Sullivan, Killian Coleman, Luke Carey Murphy and Padraig Harrington, all of whom were U 21 this year
