First Friday Social 🙂
March 04, 2014
Following on from the many suggestions and ideas bandied about during the Review Group and in the spirit of club friendship and camaraderie the newly appointed Bar Committee are promoting the first Friday of each month as an evening for members, their families and friends to meet and greet and to enjoy the atmosphere in the lounge and the pavilion.
TLC Foods and Catering will be providing exquisite individual meal portions for those who like something more substantial than usual. Kids of all ages - of course are welcome subject to parental supervision. The managers and coaches of all teams as well as the players have been working to an impeccably high standard and this is one way for all members and non-members to attend a social occasion to reflect on what has been the best start to the calendar year in recent memory. All such endeavour deserves some reward!!
Some background music will be introduced to the bar shortly to create a more ambient atmosphere. Currently we are looking at an eclectic mix of traditional Irish folk music (Chieftains, Van Morisson, Dubliners, Mary Black, The Gloaming, Moving Hearts, Stocktonâs Wing and others) combined with internationally acclaimed folk music such as Bob Dylan, The Band, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Crosby Stills and Nash and more of the like!!) Suggestions are welcome from all for future dates.
Hope to see you all there!!!
