Upcoming SFC and U21 Championship action
September 14, 2016
SFC Saturday Night
BallincolligV Castlehaven @6.00PM in Clonakilty
Following our victory over CIT last weekend our senior footballers are in quarter final action this weekend in Clonakilty. We face Castlehaven in a mouth watering clash and a huge Ballincollig crowd is expected to make the journey west. After a laboured opening half against CIT we played some excellent football in atrocious conditions last Sunday night. Liam Jennings is enjoying a terrific season while the experienced players like Noel Galvin, Patrick Kelly, Ciaran OâSullivan and John Miskella are coming into to form at the right time. Cian Kiely and Cian Dorgan are also back in the fold and our preparation has gone really well. Obviously, Castlehaven are one of the leading clubs within the county but our lads are more than capable of winning this clash. We wish the players and management the very best of luck.
U21 Hurling Championship
Ballincollig v Aghabullogue@7.30pm in Ovens
Our U21 hurlers are also in action against Aghabullogue on Monday night. We have struggled at this grade in recent seasons but there is an excellent squad gathered this year. We have a number of the Intermediate players available to us and it would be a great boost to reach the mid Cork final in this competition.
