U15 Footballers v O'Donavan Rossa:

Ballincollig 3-13 O Donavan Rossa 1-03
Last Sunday morning in a cold and wet Skibbereen our U15 footballers took on O Donavan Rossa in round 2 of the Premier 2 football league. Early points from Steve Wills and Fionnan O Sullivan followed by points by from Simon O Sullivan and Conor O'Leary set us up for a comfortable win. When Steve Wills goaled after 20 minutes, the game was over as a contest.
Evan Cooke and Sam Heinen added goals in the second half with more points coming from Paul Cooney and Joe O Leary. Chris Twomey was outstanding at wing back ably assisted by Matt Bourne and Ryan Crowley. Colin McSweeney continues to improve and was very impressive when introduced. Overall a very good team performance considering we were missing four of our regulars!
It goes to show how important it is to have numbers on the age. Next up another trip to West Cork to take on Castlehaven who are also unbeaten on Sunday 20th March at 3pm. Should be interesting.
