Ballincollig U13s vs Glen Rovers

Last Monday the 9th, our U13 hurlers travelled to Glen Rovers with their sights on completing a 100% record in this years league. The match was still hanging in the balance at half time in a stop starty type of game with most scores coming from dead balls. The Glen benefiting from a strong wind led 7 pts to 6 pts at half time.
The second half began much the same before Ballincollig began to turn the screw. A goal followed by 3 quick points saw Ballincollig hit the front with 20 minutes to go and from this point on, there was no looking back. The 100% league record was ensured with a flurry of scores in the last 15 minutes with one on one battles being won all over the park. Ballincollig marched on to the semi final with 8 wins from 8.
The Ballincollig U13 C3 hurlers continue their campaign on Wednesday night 11th away to Douglas, and are still on track for semi final qualification also. Should they avoid defeat they will also qualify for the semi final of this years competition.
A big 2 to 3 weeks ahead with some very important matches in the quest for silverware.
