Ladies Football - Minor Mid Cork Champions

The Ballincollig Minor Ladies enjoyed a sparkling opening to Sunday's Mid Cork Final v Grenagh, with a brace of quick goals from Kerry & Ruby, and this set the scene for a lead they would never lose for the rest of the match.
A fine display of teamwork resulted in a final score of Ballincollig 2-11 Grenagh 2-4.
This young team played with increasing confidence as the match progressed, and they drew away from a determined Grenagh side. Grenagh, to their credit, never gave up, and Ballincollig Ladies could never relax, until the final whistle was blown. The standard of football was a credit to both clubs, with fine movement of the ball by both teams, up & down the field.
This was Ballincollig's first outing at Minor grade for several years, and the mentors were delighted with the display of skills & teamwork displayed. The extra support enjoyed from the sideline was much appreciated!!
