Joe Delaney Cup - June 18th

The Juvenile section of Ballincollig GAA club are delighted to announce the hosting of The Joe Delaney Cup for the fourth successive year. Last year’s tournament was a tremendous success and with the talent on show from all Clubs the day could only be described as a festival of hurling. The Cup itself ended up crossing the borders to Joe’s home county with the victorious James Stephens Club where it takes pride of place in Delaneys Bar.
The tournament will be held for Under 11 boys from Cork, Kilkenny, Dublin, Wexford and Limerick with up to 200 children taking part. This year’s participants include Ballincollig, James Stephens of Kilkenny, Ballyboden St Enda’s from Dublin, St Martins of Wexford and Na Piarsaigh of Limerick – it is our own miniature All Ireland, just the way Joe would have liked it!
The Joe Delaney Cup will take place in Ballincollig GAA club on Saturday the 18th of June with games starting at 11:30. Please come and support your club for what promises to be an excellent days hurling with Cork stars of the future providing wonderful entertainment.
